Unit 2: Externally set assignment.
TextureMy starting point is: Texture
I've chosen 'texture' because I'm really touched by the nature we see, from tree's, colours, materials, we're surrounded by nature that we don't pay much attention too. A good texture has to be flat and undistorted. There's several types of textures: science, nature, hand/man made material. These are some photographers who do texture: Adrienne Adam and Lucy Shires. |

This tutorial really helped me work out how to get a good result in Photoshop. |
My Final Images
In the exam I decided I wanted to make some double exposure pictures like the ones I had seen on Pinterest and the picture I saw by Frederick Sommer. I asked a friend to take a portrait of me. I then chose a picture of a tree that I had already taken and I experimented with combining the tree and the face together. I used different Blending Modes to get the effect I wanted. When I finished the first picture I noticed that a part of my face had disappeared (top right). I quite liked this effect so I tried to make it happen in all four corners. I used a different portrait of me to start with and flipped the tree picture until I got the effect I liked. I'm really happy with the finished pictures and I have printed them out bigger for the exhibition.
