Personal Project No.2 - Multiple Images
|
The purpose of this unit is to encourage me to put into practice some of the techniques, processes and technologies I have learned about so far, applying them to the theme of Multiple Images in my own way.
This project will last several weeks and I will have an opportunity to demonstrate my understanding of the 4 assessment objectives: Learning Objectives AO1: research & generate ideas AO2: experiment with & refine your work AO3: document your learning AO4: create a personal & meaningful response and evaluate it This mind map on the left shows my initial thoughts about the theme multiple images. I intend to explore the work of several photographers and take inspiration from their approaches to the theme. |
The multiple images that I'm interested in are based on taking images of the same image over and over whilst holding them.
I mainly liked these kinds of images because it looks confusing and makes people think how did they create it with that affect. The plan that I had in mind was to look similar to the images on the right hand side, except mine were not as accurate. |

The images I captured were made by a portrait photograph taken of me, then taking a picture of the images several times over lapping so that it looks as if the image is getting bigger or smaller. I used the iPad and when taking the images, turned the soft box on to make the quality brighter and clearer in which I also used a camera app called Hueless which all the images would come out in black and white only. The outcome went well, this was my first attempt and it was almost as good as it could of been, wasn't planned out properly but still looked great. I personally think that a different app such as a coloured on would work better next time, would make the atmosphere look more lively. On my next attempt I'm going to use a camera and change my techniques maybe rotate the image several times to make it look more interesting. |
Experiment No.2
I found this image on a website called Pinterest and I'm going to experiment with it, and try to create my own version but use this one as a good example.
What I really like about this is the image is the bold I highly recommend using black and white effects. I am interested

I am really pleased with experiment number 2, I made several attempts and its shows the progress building up from the beginnings trials to the end.
Changing the effects on each image, make sure the outline and body on the bottom half is all equal and add up to make it more accurate. When changing the effects the colours of the images also change. Different areas darker then the others for it to be more bold and stand out. These pictures are about how a person's emotions/state of mind can change. Capturing images in different angles. |
